Privacy Policy
This page explains what data StopVibecode, operated by Volodymyr Antoniuk, Kyiv, Ukraine ("we", "us"), collects when you visit this site or join the waitlist, and the rights you have over it.
What we collect
- Waitlist data — the email you submit, whether you ticked the "email me" consent box, any optional links you add (LinkedIn, personal site), your GitHub username if you connect it during onboarding, your stated learning goal, and your answers to the onboarding quiz.
- GitHub profile data — if you enter a GitHub username during onboarding, we fetch your public GitHub profile (via GitHub's public API) to personalize the plan shown to you. We don't request access to private repositories or ask you to authenticate with GitHub.
- Product analytics — page visits, session length,
return visits, which call-to-action buttons you click, interactions
with mocked "fake door" demo features, light/dark theme preference,
and a randomly generated visitor id (stored in your browser's local
storage, not a tracking cookie) so we can see which events led to a
signup. If you arrive through a tagged link (a
?utm_source=…campaign link, or a?ref=…link someone shared), we keep those tag values — in local storage and, if you join the waitlist, on your waitlist row — so we know which channel brought you. Tags only; never the full URL, and nothing about where you go afterwards. This runs on Umami, self-hosted on our own server — not a third-party ad-tech or analytics company. No data from this site is sold or shared with advertising networks.
Why we collect it
To run the waitlist, personalize the onboarding preview, contact you about launch, and understand which parts of the funnel work so we can improve them. Legal basis: your consent (waitlist signup, analytics) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site.
Where it's stored
Waitlist and analytics data live on infrastructure we operate directly (a single server we control), not on a third-party SaaS platform. Local storage entries (theme, visitor id, visit count, in-progress onboarding answers) live only in your browser and are never transmitted as third-party cookies.
Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you're in the EU/UK, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Withdraw consent at any time (this won't affect processing already done)
- Export your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these, email contact@stopvibecode.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep waitlist and analytics data for as long as the funnel is active, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
